Sophonie is a singer with a soulful heart… Lead gospel singer since her adolescence, Sophonie took her first steps on stage in 2003, during her training at a music school in Oslo, Norway.
Sophonie decided in 2013 to live this passion to the fullest by starting the group SoFunnySoul. The training takes part in the Emergenza springboard and becomes a finalist in the competition.
Sophonie has had the honor of playing in exceptional Parisian venues such as the Bataclan, the New Morning, the Bastille Stage… An established singer, Sophonie lives for music. On the Soul side, she is particularly influenced by Lauryn Hill, without forgetting her classics (Aretha Franklyn, Tina Turner, Ella Fitzgerald…), nor the more urban sounds like Little Simz…
Full of pep, joie de vivre and madness, Sophonie never gives up. The stage is his favorite place. In concerts, she particularly appreciates sharing and musical connection with the audience.
In 2017, Sophonie finally released her first CD, Beginning, the result of the beginnings of the group Sofunnysoul. The record reflects the musical and artistic commitment of all the members of the group, but also their daily experience, which nourishes and enriches their Soul and NeoSoul compositions.
In 2018 Sophonie was a finalist in the national Soul springboard “SankofaSoulContest”.
Today surrounded by passionate musicians, it is as a solo artist that SOPHONIE promotes her voice and her talent for the pleasure of the keenest ears.
